ISM – International Safety Management Code
● Came into force on July 1st, 2002.
● Aims to minimize accidents involving ship, crew, cargo, and environment.
● Shipping.fo is fully certified and can act as DOC-holder for other ships.
● HSEQ department assists in certification, prepares complete SMS-system, conducts crew courses, and controls QMS efficiency through reporting and audits.
ISPS – International Ship & Port Facility Security Code
● Came into force on July 1st, 2004, for all ships over 500GT trading internationally.
● Sets rules for ships and ports regarding security and access control.
● HSEQ department assists in certification, prepares SSA and SSP, conducts crew courses, and acts as CSO for the ship.
● Continuous assessment of SSP efficiency via reporting, drills, and audits.
QMS – Quality Management System
● Certified according to ISO 9001:2015 and 14001:2015.
● Ensures all processes and procedures follow relevant rules and regulations.
